A+ Virtual Learning was born in 2019 out of our larger family of A+ Companies as an optional instruction solution for schools.
Prior to 2019 the A+ Virtual Learning Executive Education Core Team had been delivering professional development to NYC educators focused on implementing STEM technologies in their classrooms. Although this work was impactful it still left the A+ Virtual Learning team, some of us lifelong educators and educational technologists, one layer away from the classroom itself. With our desire to do more we began to infuse with modeling and onsite coaching, helping teachers to bring the concepts of using technology in the classroom to life.
This work gradually evolved into a more direct solution to the COVID pandemic. As a result of the pandemic, in March 2019 the education team quickly committed to becoming a 100% virtual provider of services to our schools and districts. We felt it was the best way we could continue to support districts, schools and students. Our team pivoted from working with educators to use technology in their classrooms to direct delivery of instruction to students through technology in virtual classrooms.
A+Virtual Learning has since become a reliable remote extension to schools and school districts across NY state. This allows schools to remotely extend their campus and their reach, supporting students regardless of physical location.
We are a team of educators and educational technologists that have been in the dictation industry for years. Each of us comes with a unique skills set and has dedicated this part of their careers to making exceptional virtual teaching and learning experiences.
A+ Virtual Learning is an A+ company that focuses on delivering academic instruction through virtual and remote means.
Our model is unique in that our support is 100% live teaching, 100% of the time. Instruction is delivered to students both on and off campus by licensed educators via technology. This traditional school-based model is a large part of the work at A+ Virtual Learning.
We also cater to the parent homeschool community. Our homeschool program offers a flexible, purposeful and interactive with an individualized approach built for parents and inspired by kids. A dual pathway approach allows for a fully parent directed learning experience, or a teacher directed learning experience that ensures students get streamlined curriculum that addresses essential skills without the fluff.
At A + Virtual Learning, have not left our passion for working with educators behind. As a NYS sponsored CTLE provider we are still delivering professional learning experiences both virtually and in person. Our virtual professional learnings are dedicated to the increasing teacher performance surrounding topics that are impactful to student learning outcomes. Our on-site coaching model is agnostic professional learning that is customized to help school leaders and districts improve as they see fit.

For the past few years, I’ve used castlelearning to prep my day school and YABC students. What I’ve found, after being introduced to Learnerpal, is that it guides student’s learning with Regents prep questions and tips that encourage students to eliminate the choices that are irrelevant. Learnerpal is updated with previous Regents questions, and also gives teachers the option to create their own classes. LearnerPal is student friendly; even for those students who do not have computers at home, Learnerpal can be accessed on cell phones. Learnerpal has definitely made infusing technology into my curriculum easy.
LearnerPal is easy to use and I am able to quickly create activities on different topics made up of regent questions. I have used learnerPal to provide my students with different types of applications of the content we are working on. My students are able to get regent prep throughout the instruction of the content. It has helped them better understand that content and get more practice with it. The video explanation of the questions are really great and has helped my students realize the mistakes they have made. I even have some students say that they redo some activities before a test. LearnerPal allows my students to get that extra practice that they need in a new and interactive way.
Suggestion to them is to add more Common Core aligned Geometry and Algebra 2 problems to the band.
I am having a large number of students working in the program this summer and I am confident that many of them will pass the test on August since LearnerPal is in my opinion, an excellent source for students to practice the topics explained in class.
Last year when we started the Title III program for our ELLs, we wanted to use a customized online program that would target regents skills for multiple content areas. From the start, you provided PD for my staff and stayed in communication with us to ensure that teachers understood how to use the program with the students. Using our list of staff and students you did all of the initial registrations. My staff was impressed with your company’s personal customer service and immediate replies, at all hours, to their questions and concerns. The students loved working on the regents skills they needed, how they needed it, using a computer program they could continue using at home. Lastly, you asked us for our honest opinion and input in what changes could be made to accommodate ELL students. Most or our students are Spanish speaking; so, they wanted the option to read and respond to the material in Spanish.
You are the first computer technology company that has asked for opinion on what could be improved to meet the needs of our students. The teachers, 4, commented to me that the program was easy and enjoyable to use with the students. The students, 13, were also able to use this program to develop their English language skills while they strengthened their comprehension of content. I can’t wait to use the program this year and to increase the number of ELL students using it in our Title III program. Thank you for also keeping us abreast of the new features and revised designs. Can’t wait to try them as well.
The upgrade to LP has been great so far. I can easily assign activities to my students without the hassle of having to register each student individually. The due dates can be easily extended without any hassles. Students progress can easily be monitored along with grades and time spent on each assignment.
This is incredible!! What an amazingly beneficial resource. I hope kids all over the country might have the same opportunity as kids in New York to use this to aid their instruction it is so needed.
